Our Overhead Crane Inspection Training

Crane inspectors are vital to the smooth functioning of any heavy-lifting application. These professionals are responsible for conducting routine safety checks to identify necessary repairs, reduce the risk of malfunctions, and confirm that equipment complies with local and state regulations.

At CICB, we understand the importance of your overhead crane inspectors and have designed a comprehensive program to elevate their on-the-job performance. This course provides enrolled inspectors with a broad understanding of overhead crane inspection requirements and responsibilities. Training is done in the classroom and in the field, supplying the ideal balance between theoretical instruction and hands-on training with overhead cranes and rigging gear.

Attendees will receive one of our Starter Inspector Kits, specially created to get your inspectors started on the right foot. After this three-day course, they will be able to align practices with various OSHA and ANSI/ASME standards.

What Types of Cranes Do We Cover?

CICB is the leading provider of high-quality overhead crane, hoist, and rigging equipment training programs. Our subject matter experts use their years of real-world experience to develop informational sessions you can trust to teach your staff about:

  • Overhead bridge cranes: Overhead bridge cranes utilize two parallel runways built into existing structures, making them capable of unloading trucks, moving containers, and much more.
  • Monorail and underhung cranes: Monorail and underhung cranes are attached to rails suspended above a worksite, allowing for more convenient maneuverability.
  • Jib cranes: These lifting machines use a horizontal arm, known as a jib, to efficiently move heavy objects that are often found in smaller environments.
  • Rail-mounted cranes: Rail-mounted cranes leverage a customizable track system's ability to move horizontally across the length of the terminal.
  • Rubber tire gantry cranes: Gantry cranes are built on large moveable frames to support a wide range of applications within environments like shipyards, railroads, construction sites, and more.
