Before any bucket truck or Mobile Elevating Work Platform can be safely used to lift personnel, it must be properly inspected. Various OSHA & ANSI/ASME regulations and standards may apply as to the level of inspection and time frame inspections must be carried out. Inspectors must do much more than look the equipment over and apply a sticker on it as the owner of the equipment needs and wants a true and fair evaluation of the current condition of the equipment to determine if the mobile elevating lift or bucket truck is safe for continued use.
CICB’s Mobile Elevating Work Platform and Bucket Truck Inspector Training program is a one-day course and is developed to enhance the knowledge of the equipment inspectors, operators or supervisors associated with the use of personnel lifting equipment such as manually propelled elevating aerial platforms, self-propelled elevating and boom supported elevating platforms.
