Overview
Headquartered in Texas, with training centers in Houston and Orlando, Florida, Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau (CICB) provides training, inspections, and management assist visits globally. The training facilities have state-of-the-art classrooms, rigging gear, telescopic and lattice-boom mobile cranes, articulating boom cranes, forklifts, mobile elevating work platforms, and overhead cranes/hoists for enhanced hands-on training and practical exams.
Accomplishments and Experience
Instructors
- Fourteen CICB instructors are subject-matter experts who are certified as NCCCO mobile, overhead, articulating, service truck crane operators, inspectors, riggers, signal persons, and lift directors, and are accredited as NCCCO practical examiners.
- CICB has provided over 14,000 NCCCO mobile crane practical exams.
- CICB inspectors/instructors have dedicated crane experience with US Navy Construction Battalion (Seabees), US Air Force Red Horse Unit, and US Army in training, operating cranes, rigging, material handling, and lifting equipment..
- All fourteen instructors have 600+ years combined dedicated crane experience. (Resumes available upon request).
- Instructors have been trained, evaluated, and designated as qualified and competent in Adult Learning Principals as trainers by the Bob Pike Institute.
Inspections, Training and Evaluations
- Performed over 1000 equipment inspections in nuclear and military facilities.
- Performed training and inspections of material handling equipment in DOE nuclear plants in accordance with Department of Energy Hoisting and Rigging Standard.
- Performed over 3000 man-hours of contractor evaluations during shutdowns/turnarounds/refuels at nuclear plants.
- Performed over 8000 hours of material handling equipment training and inspections for all branches of Armed Forces.
- Performed management and operator material handling safety training for NASA contractors at Kennedy Space Center in Florida and Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.
- Performed international training and inspections in Asia, Africa, Guam, Europe, Caribbean, Kuwait, Kwajalein Atoll, Japan, Dubai, Alaska, and South America.

- Performed safety audits for material handling equipment for various petrochemical and corporate manufacturing facilities.
